Hey guys, sorry I have been M.I.A. from this blog for while. I guess it's 'cause I use tumblr and not blogspot. However, since so many of my friends have been shipped off to college, I have no choice but to k.i.t. this way! I love you all and miss you guys dearly. I hope all is well(=

The First Post is the Gateway to an Addiction:

Today I realized that I've spent 2-3 hrs contacting my future roommates via facebook, email, and skype on a daily basis for the past few days. That, in addition to my insidious knack for writing long, OCD-level to-do/to-buy/to-figure-out lists, have brought a considerable amount of joy to me (especially since I was initially dreading the thought of living in a cramped triple) But you know what? These cool cats have names (Connie & Tiffany, to be precise) and they're really nice people! The more and more I talk with them, the fewer nostalgia attacks I get and I have a feeling I'm going to be too swept up in Welcome Week madness to feel homesick. Win :)

By the way, Navneet has a blog (navneetatblogger.blogspot.com) in which she writes posts largely induced by a lack of sleep. It's private though (to ward off the malicious creepers!) so comment with your email if you'd like to be invited, <3

Haircut

I got a haircut today! It makes me look like a twelve-year-old kid, but I guess that means I can play in the McDonald's playplace and eat at buffets for cheap now! :] LOL. Still, I can't wait for my hair to grow out; I'm okay with it, but I just feel like I look way too young with this cut. In the AP Biology video, I sounded like a prepubescent kid; now I LOOK like one too! -__- Hahaha. The only good things that come out of this haircut are I now have healthier hair and bangs that don't eat my face. :]

P.S. Sorry I haven't been posting on here. I figured a lot of the things I have to say when I feel like blogging tend to be either too personal or too emotional. As a result, I always find myself posting on my personal blog instead of this one. D:

Ai shi teru, te amo, I love you, je t'aime. Everywhere I go, I always say the same thing.

So I was hanging out with Tiffany and Vicki tonight, and it was loads of fun. I learned a couple of different phrases in Mandarin, but none of them stuck except for "no good," haha...

I asked my parents how to say random crap today too. They think I'm crazy. More than they had always believed...

Anyway, you all get to see my new haircut and me smiling with my retainer on and behind on the white board is a new phrase I learned: JACKPOT!

Yeah, that entire first line collectively means jackpot. I told my parents that I wanted to buy a scratcher just to say that! I realize how crazy that sounds, but I really appreciate languages, ya'know? Learning random phrases is just how I show my appreciation! So under jackpot, it says "Losing is no good." Underneath that basically says, "Isn't that right, dad?"

My dad already knows that I wrote jackpot on the board, but he doesn't know about the rest. My mom knows nothing about this. I'm kind of excited to see what their reaction will be when I wake up...

Anyway, I should go. I have work tomorrow...

Sunsets

Hey everyone. Here's a brief post that isn't a list!

I went to orientation at my school a couple of days ago. It was pretty fun - I met some awesome people and I even ran into my old roommate from the last time I spent the night at SMC.
